Website columns and types in MOSS

Just for my memory, when defining new site columns as a feature:

All default site columns are defined in

\12\TEMPLATE\FEATURES\fields\fieldswss.xml

Look into this file to see how to define the fields.

Valid column types:

Type Name in UI
DateTime Date
User Person
Boolean Yes/No
Integer
Text Singleline Text
Choice
Lookup Lookup Field
ModStat
Note Multiline Text
Attachments
Computed Formula
Number
Guid
File
URL URL or Picture

A simple example for the elements.xml of the feature:

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8" ?>

<!– _lcid="1033" _version="12.0.4017" _dal="1" –>

<!– _LocalBinding –>

<!–

–>

          StaticName="Archived"

          Group="Archive Test"

          Type="Boolean"
